Kopila Valley School
Kopila Valley School believes that education can be a powerful tool in transforming the lives of children who have faced extreme adversity. Over the years, we have watched students grow into confident, compassionate, and resilient young adults. Many of the graduates, both in Nepal and abroad, have gone on to achieve great things. The BlinkNow Foundation proudly announces the beginning of #NarrateYourKopilaStory. This new series will spotlight some of the alumni’s accomplishments.
The series will feature stories of how BlinkNow graduates have positively impacted their communities and beyond. And, it will be posted on BlinkNow’s website and social media platforms. We hope that these stories will inspire and uplift the community and showcase the power of education in changing lives.
Alumni
One of these inspiring stories belongs to Anjali, a 2018 graduate of Kopila Valley Children’s Home and School. Anjali is preparing to graduate with her bachelor’s in journalism. She has a passion for sharing stories as painful as hers, equally as beautiful and raw. Many Kopila Valley graduates, including Anjali, are now making a significant impact in the world. And we feel privileged to share their stories with you.
Anjali’s journey began at a very young age when she lost both of her parents. She moved from house to house in the rural village of Kalikot, with no hope for the future. But fate intervened, the founder of the BlinkNow Foundation, Maggie Doyne, came to rescue her. When Anjali was six years old, she was adopted into the Children’s Home where she thrived, soaking up knowledge and receiving an abundance of love.
Now, at the age of 23, Anjali is pursuing her dreams of becoming a journalist and sharing powerful stories. She looks back on her time at Kopila Valley School with gratitude. As it was the foundation that helped her achieve her goals.
